Art for me is something more than what you want others to see, what you introduce digitally or on traditional paper. It's a vision, a dream; the kind you get at three in the morning and you hurry to create it before you forget. - Ellen
At about age five, I picked up a pencil and for the first time started to draw. The inspiration for my art comes greatly from my Mexican roots (I'm Mexican-American), the culture, religion, and the stories of the country. Often more than not, religion or the fashion of a certain century plays out in the artwork more than the heritage, or a mixture of the two. Although not always completely accurate (by that I mean anatomically, even though I studied a year's course of it), art for me is less about accuracy and more of going for a certain theme or "grand idea", something that caught my eye and I interpreted as I thought it should be. Art is a hobby, and not something I'd consider doing professionally, even if I have no real one type of style; spanning anywhere between realism, psychological, cultural to graffiti.
